Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Beautique.
What is Beautique?
Beautique turns phone photos of your work into studio-quality portfolio images. It replaces cluttered backgrounds with curated studio backdrops, tunes the lighting and color, and generates or optimizes Instagram-ready captions and hastags — built specifically for body-art and beauty professionals.
How is Beautique different from Lightroom presets or VSCO filters?
Presets apply the same adjustments to every photo. Beautique analyzes each image individually — replacing the background, relighting the subject, and preserving the details that matter for body-art and beauty work. It's a studio setup, not a one-size-fits-all filter.
How is Beautique different from generic AI photo editors?
Generic AI editors are built to handle anything — faces, products, landscapes, art generation. Beautique is tuned for one thing: making body-art and beauty photos look studio-grade. That means preserving ink saturation, pigment tones, and skin texture instead of smoothing or stylizing them, plus human oversight when needed and Instagram-ready captions tuned to the craft. It's a specialist, not a Swiss army knife.
Can Beautique edit my tattoo, PMU, lash, microblading, or hair photos?
Yes. Beautique is built specifically for body-art and beauty work — tattoo artists, piercers, PMU and microblading specialists, lash technicians, hair stylists, barbers, brow artists, makeup artists, and estheticians all use it.
Will Beautique photos look fake or over-processed?
No — and here is the key: Beautique focuses on making your work look its best without losing its essence. The tool intelligently adjusts lighting, contrast, and saturation so the piece stands out with a 'professional portfolio' finish, but it never modifies the art itself. It doesn’t change the design, alter the actual pigment colors, or invent details that weren't there. Think of it as professional photo shot: we optimize the exposure and the surroundings so your work looks as vibrant on screen as it does in real life, removing background distractions so the focus is 100% on your talent.
What happens if I'm not happy with a result?
Every photo you generate on Beautique runs through a quality check before it lands in your gallery. If something looks off — an odd edge, a warped detail, a backdrop that didn't land — the image is automatically flagged and a human editor on our team steps in to refinish it. If a result you receive still isn't right, you can tap Refine with an expert on the review step: one of our editors personally reviews the photo and returns a corrected version. We're honest about it — no automated editing gets every shot perfect, and some photos are just genuinely hard to edit — which is exactly why we've built this human safety net into every Beautique plan.
Can I edit a client photo with Beautique and post it on Instagram?
Yes. Since Beautique only changes the backdrop and lighting (see above) and not your client's skin, ink, or hair, the photo is the same shoot — just better presented. Pair it with your usual client-consent practice as you would for any portfolio post.
Does Beautique store my client photos, and how are they used?
Your photos are stored privately on your account so you can revisit them. They're never shown to other users and never reused for anything beyond producing the enhancements you request. You can delete any photo — or your whole account — at any time. Beautique is fully GDPR-compliant; see our Privacy Policy for the specifics.
Which backgrounds can I choose from on Beautique?
We offer four curated presets designed to flatter a wide range of skin tones, inks, and beauty work: Warm White, Soft Linen, Mate Noir, and Daylight Ivory. While uploading custom backgrounds is currently not available, we are expanding our collection based on our community's requests. So, if there is a specific background you'd love to see, write to us and let us know.
Is there a Beautique mobile app?
A mobile app for iOS and Android is coming soon. For now, Beautique runs on the web in any modern browser — phone, tablet, or desktop — so you can already upload photos, pick a background, generate, add captions, and download from anywhere. Your gallery and subscription will sync to the mobile apps automatically once they launch.
How do I share a Beautique photo to Instagram or TikTok?
From the web, you download the enhanced image and copy the caption, then post wherever you like. Native one-tap sharing will arrive with the iOS and Android apps.
How long does enhancement take?
Most photos are ready in under 60 seconds. In cases where the image is more complex and the system doesn’t pass our automated quality control, it is sent to a human editor to ensure a professional finish. This adds some extra time, but we aim to have the result ready within 24 hours.
How many photos can I enhance per month with Beautique?
The Monthly plan includes 12 photos per month. Your quota doesn’t follow calendar months; instead, it resets every month on the date you first subscribed. An Annual plan with 25 photos per month, 2K resolution, social-media-optimized caption + hashtag drafts, and priority support is coming soon.
Is there a free trial?
We don’t offer a free trial. To celebrate the launch we’re running a 25% off promotion on the Monthly plan — €14.99/mo instead of €19.99/mo for your first 2 invoices. After that, the price returns to €19.99/mo. There are no lock-in contracts and you can cancel anytime. An Annual plan with extra features will launch in the coming months.
How does Beautique billing work?
Pick the Monthly plan and you're charged at the start of each billing period in EUR. The first 2 invoices include a 25% launch discount (€14.99/mo); from month 3 onward you pay the regular €19.99/mo. All prices on the site already include VAT — what you see is what you pay, with no extras added at checkout. An Annual plan is coming soon. See the full comparison in pricing.
How do I cancel my Beautique subscription?
Cancel anytime from Account → Subscription in your settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and no further charges are made. Your photo library stays intact — you only lose it if you delete your account. Need help? Get in touch.
